is referred to as Sisters in Spirit (SIS)

It is a Christian fellowship ministry for all women.  Its purpose is to provide assistance in building the spiritual, physical, and emotional well being of women.  The programs and activities of the ministry reflect the collective interest of women, and support our church and community.

SIS is an inclusive, one-size-fits-all ministry, mobilizing women of all ages and religious stages to help them grow in their obedience and faithfulness to Christ in order to glorify the Father and bear fruits in His name.

SIS seeks to work with other ministries of the church, to optimize the opportunity to achieve the mission of the church.  Planned events and programs are established to build coalitions and the spirit of cooperation among church ministries for the overall health and growth of the church.  WE NEED YOU!

St. Stephen Church Mission Statement:  To reach non-believing people, to connect with the church, help them grow in their faith, challenge them to discover their ministry, honor God with their lives and use the Bible to live life at its best.

Women's Ministry (SIS) Mission Statement:  To invite women into a relationship with God and encourage them to grow together in sisterhood as they learn to use their spiritual gifts to further the mission of the church.

Women's Day is the ministry's "signature piece event" for Women's Month.  Women's Day generally takes place one week after the Women's Conference, but may, depending on when Easter falls, be held during the same weekend.  Women's Day will feature nationally known, spirit-filled, inspirational women of God as the keynote speakers/preachers during each of our church services.

St. Stephen Purpose Statement:  Introduce people to Christ and help them grow and be like Him.

The Women’s Ministry (SIS) Purpose Statement:  Provide assistance in building the spiritual, intellectual and emotional well being of women.

In addition, SIS exists to accomplish the following goals and objectives:

Create an environment that encourages productivity, rewards effort and initiative, and provides a spiritual climate in which each woman can experience growth.

Reach out to hurting women, single women, married women, homeless families, mothers of prodigals, fulltime homemakers, professional women in the workplace, women with addictive lifestyle behaviors, old church members, new church members, and women seeking or wanting to strengthen a relationship with God.
